QC Connector Plate Verification System
SENSE-A-PLATE IS NO LONGER OFFERED!
The SENSE-A-PLATE® system is designed to detect missing nail plates in the truss manufacturing process. Nail plates are detected as the truss passes between the upper and lower rows of metal detectors that are mounted on the machine. The controller compares the signals from the upper and lower rows of detectors and determines if there is a misaligned or missing plate.
If the controller detects a plate on one side of the truss, it expects to detect a plate on the other side of the truss in the same general area. If no plate is detected on the opposite side, a missing plate alarm is activated.
Installation is easy as the unit only requires a 110 VAC power connection and hook-up to a customer’s alarm, light tower, audible siren, or PLC unit. The unit may also be directly connected to the customer’s conveyor drive to give a signal when the roller is operating or to allow for roller stoppage if a plate is missing. Operation signals are visible on the control box mounted on the side of the machine.
